Eshkol Kehilatiut - Community Development

Mission

The committee's (eshkol’) mission is to help foster a caring & committed community. The committee plans activities that create & strengthen bonds between members. Thus we strive to allow both members new & old to remain connected to the congregation. Members of the committee are volunteers that come from all age groups and walks of life (Come & Join Us! – the more the merrier).
 

Kol Haneshamah Hot-Line – Serving the Community in Times of Loss & Grief:

This sub-committee provides both practical & emotional support for members in times of loss or need. This 24-hour Hot-Line for support works 7 days a week throughout the year. The line is staffed by trained volunteers and can, if need be, connect you to the rabbi.  If you are able to help out by providing meals to families in mourning, attending minyanim, etc.  please contact the office to put your name on our list. 
KeReN (Kupa Refa-aynu v’Nirapeh)
Kol HaNeshama offers assistance to its members and their families in times of illness and difficulty.  Meals, rides, visits to home and hospital can all be arranged.  Be assured that privacy issues are of the utmost importance to us and members who do not wish assistance or for others in the community to know about an illness will have their wishes respected.  To access our volunteers contact the kehilla office or the Hot Line (number below).

 Sub-Committee for New Members – Welcome to Kol Haneshama!:

This committee was established to ensure that every new member understands that they are both welcome & important to our community life. Members of the committee make contact with new members to make sure that they have information about the community and assist in integrating into the congregation. Additionally, special events are held to facilitate introductions between members old & new.
